Step 1 (correcting
the walls).
Part H6 is
incorrect and needs to be modified. Cut the part off where
J26 is inserted. Put the cut off 'L' shape into place
on the deck. Take a straight line from the forward edge
of the Cafe Parisien's center doors and mark the 'L' at
this point. Make a cut here. Glue the remnants of the
'L' to the deck. (This needs to be in place as it forms
a support for the decks above).
Cut a strip
of of sheet plastic to make the wall that ran from the
forward edge of the Cafe Parisien's center doors to the
port side hull.
Step 2 (painting
the floor).
I painted the
flooring dark red and then over drybrushed with a tan.
Step 3 (furniture).
If you want
to fully furnish the room look at the plans in either
the 'Last Days of Titanic' or the Wels 'Legacy' book.
See the PRIVATE
PROMENADE section (Step 3) for the construction of
chairs and round tables. See PALM
COURT section (Step 7) for a simple way to make the
square tables. For more historical accuracy you could
attempt to glue pulled sprue legs to the corners of a
piece of square sheet plastic.
Only put a
few chairs closest to the windows as no detail will be
seen beyond this point.
